One of our most famous members, the late, George Maurer enjoys one of his many moments in the sun.
We always have a great time during the 4th parade. At one time we were able to share candy with the children lining both sides of the street.
The annual 4th parade is something we all cherish as our children, parents and friends march down Sierra Madre Boulevard with much fan fare. One of the unique aspects of the parade is people from Pasadena, Arcadia and Monrovia attend the festivities. You can find them at the sidewalk cafes, park benches or their own chairs.
The Sierra Madre Kiwanis History proudly chronicles a century of dedicated service to the community, celebrating 100 years of unwavering commitment in 2024.
Since its inception, the Sierra Madre Kiwanis Club has embodied the true spirit of its name, derived from an American Indian expression meaning “we trade” or “we share our talents.” Over the past century, the club has not only traded skills and shared talents but has also placed a special focus on helping children in our community.
Through numerous programs, initiatives, and events, the Sierra Madre Kiwanis Club has worked tirelessly to support and uplift the youngest members of our community, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities needed to thrive. This legacy of goodwill and positive impact continues to flourish, touching the lives of many and fostering a brighter future for all.
We invite you to join us in this important mission. Help us succeed by sharing your talents and supporting our community’s children. Please send us your message to find a place for your talents in our efforts. Whether you want to join us or leave a message on improving Sierra Madre Kiwanis, your contribution can make a difference.
